Orlando is a teaser for the theaterpiece “Orlando” by Toneelschuur Producties

role: creative direction and production engagement

Orlando is a character who lives for three centuries and undergoes repeated transformations during that time—changes in environment, social class, role, and identity. From a searching young nobleman to a successful writer, Orlando continuously adapts to the evolving norms and expectations of his/her era.

The versatility of the character Orlando is showcased by wearing costumes inspired by different eras. Costume designer Rebekka Wörmann actively sought clothing that transcends conventional gender fashion. By using both extremely slowed-down and accelerated images, the aim is to give the viewer the feeling of being carried through time.
